The men concluded their statement:

We do not share this process to fill in salacious details, but to protect the integrity of the victims and their experiences that were shared. We appeal to you to refrain from using names of any victims. These are women who have always been viewed as credible, trustworthy, and courageous. None of these victims had any intention to punish Mike Bickle and they had nothing to gain by sharing their experiences except the pursuit of truth, repentance, mercy, and grace.

A video has been posted of a special meeting held Friday, Oct. 27, reportedly for staff and at Forerunner Church. Three leaders who spoke from the stage about the allegations against Bickle referenced “abuse” and expressed concern for victims but also said they did not want to comment on the “nature of the allegations” against him.

One leader said that if they seemed slow to give answers, the reason is because of the need for “clarity,” not because of “secrecy.” They also encouraged people who have experienced trauma or abuse to reach out to IHOPKC or a trusted leader or friend.

As the leaders concluded their statements, a man in the audience interrupted and, standing, said, “I do not consider this an acceptable level of transparency. In a room full of faithful witnesses, being a faithful witness to my brothers, there is more to be shared, and what David just said is well-intended, righteous bull***.”

Several people voiced their assent, including a woman who said, “I second that.”

“I believe that you need to address this in a different way, with a greater degree of transparency,” the man continued, “or this is not going to be a trustworthy process.”

Some people in the audience applauded, although one man called out, “Don’t clap for that! Don’t even clap for that.”

Fox 4 News in Kansas City spoke to several people who are defending Bickle. IHOP member Nicole Nahra told the outlet, “It’s reprehensible, it’s a total betrayal. Absolutely…100%, I stand behind Mike Bickle.” She added, “Unless and until this is proven inconvertibly [sic] in a court of law, or Mike confesses, there’s nothing to discuss.”
