“I’m asking you a question, yes or no—I’m your flight leader,” the flight attendant said. “I need you to follow my instruction. My instruction for you is to answer my question: Are you able to be quiet?”
Storm again deflected the question and asked the passengers, “What do you guys think?”
Eventually, the flight attendant told the singer, “If you’re not able to follow my instruction, you will not be taking this flight.”
“If that’s the case, then that’s fine,” Storm replied. “If you’re the person in charge of it all, then that’s fine.”
Storm then lowered her voice and told the passengers around her in the back of the plane that she would sing for them. “I don’t know the issue. No one else has ever had an issue,” she said, proceeding to sing a few bars of her Billboard-charting song.
When she was finished with her impromptu performance, Storm told those around her to check out Maverick City Music. She then pointed to the flight attendant, who appeared to be near the front of the plane, and said “people like that, you know their spirit is so low. They can’t accept it, but I’m here to spread what God needs me to spread. I’m here to spread that because that’s what’s gotten me where I am.”

The next day, Storm shared in an Instagram post that Delta Airlines called her to apologize for what happened. The singer was cautious about naming names because she said she didn’t want the flight attendant to lose his job. “I simply want us to keep in mind how to treat each other, and there was no rules being broken. And it was just me spreading my joy with people after they gave me the go [ahead] to do so.”
“So I just hope that if he watches this, he’s able to learn a valuable lesson on how to treat other people,” Storm added. She asked her fans to stop reaching out to Delta because representatives from the airline have apologized and said that they are “fans of Maverick City.”

After she was accused of lying, Storm posted another video proving Delta Airlines did indeed call her. She also shared more about how she was prompted to sing on the plane.
“One thing you will never be able to do is question my obedience, and the people saying, ‘God won’t call you to cause disruption’—in fact, he will,” Storm said. “Even in his Word, he has told his people to disrupt and shake things up for his glory. I urge, especially my Christians, to really have a heart check and a word check before attacking another one of your kind.”
“I’m up for this because I know that to whom much is given, much is required, but one thing I can’t let rock when I have the platform to correct is ignorance,” she added. “People should be informed. I believe my music will also show us who really is a believer and who is not! Let’s all pray and watch and all will be well!”
