“[I] was actually really coming alive in those things and wanting a relationship with the Lord,” Woods said. She added that Bickle “gave me my first Bible, like my first Study Bible.” She recalled that Bickle had her name engraved on it and “wrote in it, ‘My beloved Tamara,’ and some nice things. And I guess his wife Diane had read that and said, ‘You can’t say those things. Do it again, do over.’ And he took that out and wrote something more generic.”
Woods said that Bickle would help her parents out from time to time when they were busy by driving her sister to gymnastics. He would then hang out with Woods at the park and talk “about the Lord.”
Oftentimes, Woods said Bickle would drive her home from youth group, and Woods recalled that during one of those rides, Bickle pulled the vehicle into an undeveloped lot and asked her the question: “Do you feel for me as more than a friend?”

“I remember my heart racing, because I’m thinking as a 14-year-old, ‘I’m busted. I’ve been crushing on this 25-year-old…and he knows, and I’m gonna get in trouble,’” Woods said.
Woods said she responded with a nod and waited to be corrected “from a mentor” for it being “inappropriate.” But instead, she said Bickle asked another question: “Do you think that I feel the same?”
After being caught off guard and replying, “I don’t know.” Bickle told her, “Well I do.”
Woods explained that nothing physical took place that night, but as things progressed during her freshman year of high school, Woods said Bickle would hold her, embrace her, play with her hair, and tell her that he loved her.
Bickle allegedly told Woods that he “believed that his wife would die [and] that [they] could be together.” Bickle said that his wife, Diane, also believed this would happen. During one of those conversations, Woods said Bickle even told her that she could be “Lukey’s mom.”
According to Woods, Bickle kissed the underaged teenager at her home when no one else was around. “He would kiss my neck, he would kiss my cheeks, he would kiss my forehead,” she said. “But the first, like, ‘kiss’ kiss was in my house. He kind of pulled me into my bathroom. And he kissed me like a man kisses a woman.”

Fondling and other sexual activities progressed when they were together, Wood said. “He never had sexual intercourse with me…but he did lay on top of me and move on top of me until he released,” she said.
