He continued by encouraging ministry leaders to stop being negative because “negativism is evil in the sight of God.” Franklin said that God doesn’t believe in all of your “I can’ts” because he can do all things.
“Can’t should be a four letter word of profanity in the kingdom of God,” Franklin added. “When God says you can do it you can do it…faith is spelled R.I.S.K.”
Franklin warned ministry leaders of getting a “Lucifer spirit,” explaining that Lucifer believed that heaven wouldn’t make it without him and that self-aggrandizement places you in a spiritually unsafe place.
Franklin closed by encouraging the veteran pastors in the room not to discourage younger pastors by squelching their kingdom dreams. Franklin gave the example of planting churches in rough neighborhoods or evangelizing in areas that may not be considered safe.
“So many times we criticize people for stepping out by faith and trying to do what has never been done before,” Franklin said. “It’s time to stop holding each other back.”
