He asked his followers, “Are you baptized? Did you get baptized as a adult? Would you do it in a river? Would you do it in a font?” Brand also asked if people want to be fully immersed, saying, “Me, I want River Jordan or River Thames at worst. I want proper plunging.”
“Tell me what is the importance of the church,” Brand continued, “and tell me, is it important what church you go to, ‘cause I’m just learning, man, I’m just learning.” The actor said that if he doesn’t get “clear guidance,” he’ll make a decision “based on what petal I’m on.”
“Let me know what you’re into, in the holy name of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ, amen,” he concluded.
Numerous people responded, many of them encouraging Brand to get baptized and not to overthink where he goes to church but to seek out a church that is faithful to Scripture. Others encouraged him to pursue Alpha, a space where people can ask honest questions about the Christian faith.
“Your journey is so encouraging!” said one follower. “I highly suggest taking part in an alpha course and then looking into baptism. Keep going!! You got this!”
