As Lindell helped Driscoll preach his sermon on Elijah, he commented that “none of God’s people are perfect. None of his pastors are perfect. None of his prophets are perfect.”
“But let me just say this,” Lindell warned. “You may agree with Mark. You may agree with me. You may not agree with either one of us. But here’s the thing: You have to be careful that you do not criticize people who have the anointing of God.”
“Better to say nothing,” he added. “Because what happens is once you begin to criticize someone who has the anointing on them, you’re in the flesh. And once you’re in the flesh then you’re moving toward unbelief. And once you move toward unbelief, then you live a barren life spiritually.”
“Better to say, ‘You know what, you have your opinion. I have mine,’ and you move forward because this is an open-handed issue and we love one another,” Lindell said. “Mark’s going to do things differently and I don’t think that’s wrong.”
“Live for an audience of one,” Lindell said. “I can’t be right with God if I can’t be right with my brother.”
Next year’s Stronger Men’s Conference will feature speakers Louie Giglio, Chad Veach, and Earl McClellan with hosts David and Brandon Lindell.
