“Let MacArthur be a cautionary tale for you if you are a pastor,” Chaplain Adam Morris warned. “You don’t know nearly as much as you are tempted to believe you do. Arrogance will make you look like a fool and will inevitably hurt people. And learn about mental health if you want to care for people’s souls.”

“I deal with PTSD and I am not offended by John MacArthur,” another veteran wrote. “The VA wanted to pump me with pills but I leaned on God. He alone is my refuge. I am not condemning those on meds but I would argue that God alone brings true deliverance. Pills only mask the pain.”
