Taylor Swift-Themed Services Attract Young People to German Church

Shane Lynch, a former Irish boy-band star, accused Swift of hiding “demonic rituals” in her shows. Lynch, now a 47-year-old father, said other pop stars do the same thing, often without fans realizing what they’re seeing. In 2020, Swift released a music video titled “Willow (lonely witch version).”

After Swift released a surprise double-album last month, evangelist Shane Pruitt sounded the alarm about “self-worshipping” lyrics that include biblical imagery. Pruitt, who used to listen to Swift’s music, said he’s now reconsidering.

LYRICS MATTER,” Pruitt wrote in an April 22 social media post. “There is a difference between being secular and being ANTI-CHRISTIAN.”

Pruitt pointed to profanity and questionable lyrics from Swift’s new 31-song album “The Tortured Poets Department,” which released April 19.
