Creed’s Scott Stapp Urges Americans To Go Higher, Focus on the Bible

In the comments, many people embraced Stapp’s words with arms wide open. “Scott is no stranger to The Word of God,” someone wrote. “He went to my brother’s church. He’s friends with the pastor’s son. Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. –Proverbs 22:6

Stapp, whose grandfather helped shape his childhood faith, is now a grandfather himself. His oldest son, Jagger Stapp, became a dad last fall.

Scott Stapp, who had a troubled relationship with his stepfather, said his four children give him “purpose” and make him “want to be a better man.” Of his kids, he added, “I just want to…be a father they can look up to and say, ‘That’s my dad. I’m proud of him.’”
