“We have to undermine that kind of thinking,” said Ritchson, because this behavior “sullies the good name of Christ” and repulses people instead of attracting them.
“So I’m here to say there’s a better way to be, and it means holding on to the tension that we are not going to create a sinless world overnight,” Ritchson said, “but we can choose to create a world where everybody feels heard and seen, and by doing so, we bring more love to the world. And that very attractive Christian ethic starts to become more appealing to those who didn’t know it before.”
