In two separate episodes, both of which aired in May 2023, Popoff promoted his “Miracle Spring Water.” The episodes included testimonials from people who said the water “helped cure lung cancer, resolve financial difficulties,” and offered “supposed benefits for conditions such as drug addiction, diabetes, and high blood pressure.”

In addition to the fine, Ofcom has banned Popoff from “re-broadcasting the episodes” and has imposed “a requirement to air a statement acknowledging Ofcom’s findings.”
