“Being a Christian, there is a lot of opinions that come with it. You know, ‘That’s not what a Christian should wear,’ or, ‘That Christian shouldn’t sing a song like that,’” she told Fantasia.
Nix shared that one comment that was directed toward her said, “She’s not a Christian anymore.” She said, “It devastated me.”
If Nix wins on Sunday (May 18), she will join Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Jordin Sparks, and Fantasia as only the ninth female in 23 Seasons to be named the winner of “American Idol.”
