687,000 Reached in One Day Online

The Christian Post reported that Global Media Outreach, an evangelism ministry founded in 2004 by Campus Crusade for Christ, reached a record-breaking 687,488 people in one day in December 2010. GMO says they consider a person “reached” with the gospel when the person requests to speak to a online missionary. The requests came from all around the world, and 56,854 of that number made a decision for Christ. More than 5,500 GMO online missionaries respond to these requests via email. Last year, GMO chairman and founder Walt Wilson said current technology will potentially allow us to reach everyone on earth with the gospel by the year 2020. “We are the first generation in all of human history to hold within our hands the technology to reach every man, woman and child…our generation has within its grasp everything that is required to fulfill the Great Commission.” GMO has more than 150 sites aiming to attract those seeking spiritual information on the Web.
