Love Is Oxygen for the Soul

A life without love is a life wasted. And anything not founded on the basis of love is something that does not know the truth of Jesus.

If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-4

Without love we are meaningless. Without love we are without Jesus. Love is oxygen for the soul.

We must understand that the Gospel without love isn’t truly The Gospel at all. Jesus himself is the image we must seek to reflect, and our mission is to love because he first loved us. Love is oxygen for the soul.

The world needs more Jesus. The world needs more love. Love is oxygen for the soul. The two cannot exist without one another.

Jesus is the hope of the world.

Jarrid Wilson was a husband, pastor and author relentlessly sharing the love of Jesus. In September of 2019, Jarrid tragically passed away by suicide. He is survived by his wife, Juli, and his two sons, Finch and Denham. His larger than life personality, heart for all people and passion for telling others about the grace and love of Jesus was unmatched, and he is greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. We stand on the promise of Revelation 21:4 that reminds us that in heaven, there is no more sorrow, suffering or death. Hope gets the last word.
