Touring the Globe in Prayer: Operation World

10/29/10

The new edition of the Operation World Prayer Guide, called one of the most important resources for the global church today, was launched at Cape Town, South Africa last week. First developed in the sixties, this prayer encyclopedia guides prayer warriors on worldwide trends in missions and the Church and details prayer needs for every country in the world. According to Christian Today, this update has taken five years to complete and includes maps, charts, and other additional resources to help Christians pray effectively. Operation World editor Jason Mandryk said, “We pray that through this book, the unevangelized will be evangelized, the suffering will find relief, and the church will be mobilized in fulfilling the great commission.” The World Evangelical Alliance Global Ambassador Bill Taylor called the book, “a gift for the whole church” and “a unique global resource that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.” Operation World will hold an online global prayer celebration on November 9; find out more information and download a free book sample at OperationWorld.org.
