Haggard Recommends "Scandalous" Documentary

According to an article in The Christian Post, former head of the National Association of Evangelicals Ted Haggard is recommending that church groups watch the one-hour special on TLC titled “Scandalous,” which documents Haggard’s recent drug and sex scandal that removed him from his NAE post and ended his leadership of 14,000-member New Life Church in Colorado Springs. Haggard admits the story is “embarrassing,” but he also calls it “a wonderful story of redemption and resurrection,” saying that his story “proves that Jesus is Lord, the Word of God works and the blood of Jesus works.” The documentary will air on TLC January 16 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern and January 17 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern and is rated TV-14.
