5 Ways to Help Japan

Want to help Japan, but not sure how? DesiringGod.org encourages the Church to respond to the disaster in Japan through one of these credible relief organizations:

Churches Helping Churches

CHC is working with CRASH Japan in Sendai distributing supplies and has issued an appeal to their partner churches to take a special offering on the weekend of March 27. A short promotional video will be available on their site for download and showing to congregations.

Food for the Hungry

FH strengthens and provides relief supplies to local churches, who then distribute the relief throughout their communities. Current focus is in Sendai, Japan.

OMF International

Also helping in the Sendai region, OMF helps with relief efforts and supports the efforts of other Christian organizations in the area.

Samaritan’s Purse

Samaritan’s Purse is sending a cargo plane (departing March 18) to airlift tons of emergency relief supplies to the coastal Sendai region. They are also working on the ground distributing aid in the hardest hit areas.

World Vision

World Vision has also issued an emergency team to distribute supplies and has an ongoing focus on the children impacted by the disaster.
