A woman living across the street from New Welcome Baptist Church in Grand Bay, Alabama was startled when she heard a ruckus coming from the church last Sunday morning. “I heard a lot of hollering, and we looked out the window, and we seen folks running back and forth to the back of the church…” she reported to Fox 10 News. As it turns out, a brawl broke out when the pastor, Daryl Riley, said the services of the music minister were no longer required. The music minister, Simone Moore, whipped out his taser and attacked the pastor, and at that point more angry parishoners got involved. Moore’s mother was stabbed by one of the deacons. A representative from the Sherriff’s Office commented, “When too many emotions get involved and you don’t let the right process follow…they should have called law enforcement.” A warrant was issued for Moore for second degree assault and for the deacon who stabbed Moore’s mother.
