The Christian Post reported on the results of a Fox News Poll of American voters asking if they believe prayer could help heal someone from illness or injury. Seventy-seven percent of those polled agree that prayer helps heal people; just 20 percent disagreed. More than 90 percent of regular church attendees and white evangelical Christians agree that prayer heals.
The poll also revealed that less than half of American voters (45 percent) believe in the biblical account of creation, five percent fewer than believed it at the end of the 1990s. One in four said both the theory of evolution and creationism were true, and one in five supported the theory of evolution alone.
