USA Today reported that the results of the Baylor Religion Survey indicate that entrepreneurs are somewhat more likely than the rest of us to pray or meditate. Thirty-four percent of those who called themselves entrepreneurs said they frequently pray, as compared to 27 percent of non-entrepreneurial types, and 18 percent say they use “Christian meditation.” A psychologist from the Texas Medical Center in Houston explains that entrepreneurs “face risk, unpredictability, and uncertainty. Prayer and meditation can be important resources for people who are trying to achieve a lot and yet still face the reality that there is only so much they can control.”
