Only One Way — Jesus
The Bible says the Lord is the Author and He is the Finisher. He designs your pathways, walks you through the process, and brings to pass your success as you walk with Him. But you must walk with Jesus in His way!
What happens is that we go astray and separate our way from His way. The Bible calls that separation sin. Sin takes us off His pathway and out of His finishing process. And because of this, we will never see the gift He deposited in us realized or successfully developed. When I am away from God, I cannot obey God. I need to be under His covering. God’s treasure, design, and process do not even compute when I am out of God’s pathway because I am separated from Him.
Plans for a Hope and a Future
From the turning point called repentance, the Lord takes us in His embrace and walks us through the process of becoming what He designed us to be. Even if we have messed up our lives, the Bible says He still has plans for our future:
“‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.’” (Jer. 29:11)
This is what Easter is all about — Jesus Christ overcame death and the separation between man and God; He gave us a way back home to His embrace.
