2. It brings eternal enjoyment, not temporal satisfaction.
Sex is very satisfying. Participated in within the realm of marriage, God is honored as two people are mutually satisfied. The right kind of drug can be used in a good way to lessen physical pain and bring relief – even a good night’s rest. Social networking can take you to places in the world you’ve never seen and help you reconnect with old friends.
The problem is that it is all temporal. It is here today, gone tomorrow, or sometime in the future. All these are passing, not permanent.
Not so with evangelism.

In fact, lead someone to Christ and no one can undo what God has used you to do. Once you are in His fold, you are there forever. John 5:24 promises, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My Word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life and shall not come to judgment but has passed from death into life.”
The person you usually lead to Christ is not just your brother or sister now; he or she is your brother or sister forever. Enjoyment that lasts for eternity is immeasurably greater than enjoyment that lasts for an hour, a day, a month, or even years.
