According to The Christian Post, influential minister Chuck Colson, 80, underwent brain surgery in early April and remains in the neurological intensive care unit at a Virginia hospital. Colson’s surgery was to remove a pool of blood from the surface of his brain and has been hospitalized since March 30, when he nearly collapsed at a conference engagement. Colson is the head of Prison Fellowship ministries but for the first time in 34 years did not minister to inmates this past Easter Sunday. Colleague Eric Metaxas has been filling in for Colson on his daily “Breakpoint” radio broadcasts and will continue until Colson recovers.
