5. Cares of the World. 

Business, family, money, position, prestige and ease can be like the Sirens in Greek Mythology. Their cry can be loud and enticing. And when entertained, they can devour.

Encouragement: Consider Demas as a ready warning (Colossians 4:14). None of us are ever beyond these temptations.

Recognize where you are most easily seduced, pray with your wife regularly about it, and let your fellow elders know.
