NBA favorite Jeremy Lin will join Francis Chan and YouTube musician Tyler Ward at this year’s Identity Unleashed Conference in San Francisco. According to CharismaNews, Lin regularly couples his outstanding court play with the New York Knicks and the Houston Rockets with his outspoken faith to sports fans, fellow athletes and evangelism conference attendees around the world. Lin says he leans on God when the hype gets overwhelming.
“With all the media attention, all the love from the fans, I felt I needed to prove myself,” Lin shares. “But I’ve surrendered to God. I’m not in a battle with what everybody thinks anymore.
“The thing I learned … is that there is nothing that this world can offer that will provide me with true joy, fulfillment and satisfaction. There’s only one thing that can truly and eternally satisfy you—that’s Jesus Christ.”
The Identity Unleashed Conference is a one-night event designed to answer the question “What matters in life?” and will take place at the Cow Palace in Daly City on September 7, 2013.
