Rome Wasn't Built in a Day

If I had to describe our Planning Retreat in one word it might be: overwhelming. We have so many ideas and such big dreams that it can feel a little overwhelming! I keep having to remind myself to think long. After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day! I’m trying to make decisions based on twenty-year timelines instead of two year timelines.

Big Dreams – Long Thoughts = Overwhelming
Big Dreams + Long Thoughts = Empowering

In the next year we’ll launch our first international campus in Berlin, Germany. We’ll launch our seventh campus in the metro DC area. And we’ll embark on a building project and capital campaign. It’s overwhelming. At the time, it is God-sized dreams that energize us! And it is God-sized dreams that keep us on our knees in raw dependence upon God.
