Did Jesus Preach the Gospel? | Scot McKnight

Yesterday while discussing The King Jesus Gospel, a few of you asked for more specifics on what direction McKnight will be going in the book. Having read a prerelease – which was excellent, hence my excitement about this – I think a good place to start wrestling with the themes in The King Jesus Gospel would be with these videos from Q.

In them Scot asks if Jesus could have preached “the Gospel” as we frame it, and starts to deconstruct a culture thats less evangelical (about the gospel) than it is soteriological (about salvation). The questions raised in this Q session are in many ways the impetus behind his new book.
