Baptism

Baptism is a sacred symbol of the life-transforming work of Jesus.

When we go down into the water, that symbolizes us dying with Jesus on the blood-soaked cross, and being buried with Him in that cold, dark tomb.

When we explode out of the water with joy indescribable, it’s symbolic of us rising from the dead with Jesus, just as He rose from the dead on an early Sunday morning 2000 years ago.

Baptism is an outward symbol of an internal, eternal reality.

You, Christ-follower, are united with the very life of Jesus. The old sin-corrupted nature of Adam that you were born into the world with was executed on the cross with Jesus, and now the resurrection life of Jesus pulsates in you.  You are born again by His uncreated, unending life.

Think about that reality.  Live from this reality.

This weekend at Transformation Church, at all four services, we will be having baptisms.  A record number of people have already signed up.  It’s going to be a glorious day!

In the video below, some of the awesomeness of our last baptism service was captured.  Check it out and pray for Jesus to be famous this weekend at TC.  Thank you.

Marinate on that,
