You ever feel like God is making a mistake when He calls you to do something that is way beyond your ability, life experiences, and the action He’s calling you to, reveals your insecurities for everyone to see?
As a husband, father, and pastor, I feel like that often.
I’m sure glad God did a background check on me and you. And He still called me us to make a difference in this world on His behalf.
He knows my not so pretty past. And He declares I’m forever forgiven (Ephesians 1:7)
He knows my weaknesses and insecurities. Jesus says “I will live in you to accomplish what I’m calling you to do” (Colossians 1:28-29).
It sure is good to know that God will never call me or you where He’s grace will not provide everything we need to fulfilling what He’s calling us to do!
- “His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence.” 2 Peter 1:3 ESV
God has done a background check on you. And He’s called you anyway!
