Why Leaders Must Become Connectors

We are in an age that it is easier than ever to connect with others. Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Instagram, and many others have given us a systematic way to build connectedness. With that has come tools like Klout to help us know who is really the most connected person.

But is that really the true measurement of a Kingdom connector? How many friends and followers they have been able to acquire?

If that is the only way we’re measuring our effectiveness, I think we’ve missed the mark.

“A true connector measures their effectiveness not by who they have CONNECTED to THEMSELVES, but by who they have CONNECTED to OTHERS.”

The measure of a true connector isn’t simply how many relationships they’re able to develop. Rather, it’s their ability to take two people in their network and connect them with each other. I firmly believe it’s when we do this that we will truly start to see the success of our networking abilities.

So with new connections I make, I DO two things and I ASK myself two things.
