At a birthday party that welcomed more than 900 guests, evangelist Billy Graham, 95, delivered what is being called his final sermon via a half-hour video to attendees. According to USA Today,Graham deilvered his familiar salvation message and said he’s “wept” over the nation’s spiritual direction.
“Our country’s in great need of a spiritual awakening,” he said. “There have been times that I’ve wept as I’ve gone from city to city and I’ve seen how far people have wandered from God.”
Franklin Graham told the audience that this video represents Graham’s “last message to the nation.”
Guests included former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, real-estate magnate Donald Trump. Performers Ricky Skaggs and Michael W. Smith led the audience in “Happy Birthday.”
