One of my best friends, Trevor Atwood, left town a few months back to plant City Church in Murfreesboro TN. I did not like him leaving because I leaned on him as a brother. But, a call by God on his life and a city in need of a gospel witness means more to both of us than comfort & proximity here. So it was right and good for his move to be bittersweet for us both. Below is a video of the fruit of his team’s faith. The team that left here to go become City Church. The last one baptized is Trevor’s son, Micah, who was a big brother to my boys here. When we look back on the end of this year, we will not just rejoice over all of those baptized at the Summit, but of all of those around the world baptized in communities of faith begun by Summit families who left something really good for something greater.
