Mutually Inclusive, Not Exclusive

by Jeff Tunnell

While each cell in the body has DNA to achieve the reproduction of itself, it must align its efforts with the other cells in the body, contributing to the entire structure of God’s amazing creation.  In comparison we say, “The cell is the church, but the church is more than one cell”.

Shepherds (cell leaders) in each cell oversee the health and maturing of their members, but one cell does not have the fullness of Jesus’ ministry gifts within itself (Ephesians 4:8 & 11-13).  We need the rest of the body to gather for teaching, edification, guidance and a connected view of the worldwide church on a regular basis.

Mutually inclusive, not exclusive. Both large group and small group working together.  The benefits provide life-giving balance to the believer in doctrine, fellowship, prayer with/for others, worship and unity with the universal church.  As Steve Cordle stated in his blog last week, “The cell church focuses on two expressions of the church: cell and celebration (“Publicly and house to house”). This creates a healthy church because the celebration and the cell each provide something the other doesn’t.”

On a separate note, I want to express my deep appreciation for the 243 registered guests and volunteers that participated in our “Day with Joel Comiskey and Mario Vega” in Richardson, Texas last month.  Pastor Jose Romero, his family, the body of Christ at Iglesia de Restauracion Elim and Jairo Garcia, the church’s excellent administrator, made this event a huge success and blessing for all of us!

Mutuamente inclusivo, no exclusivo

Mutuamente inclusivo, no exclusivo.
