This is what happens when we praise God—we are drawn into closer relationship with Him and He is inclined to bless us! Imagine that!
Scripture instructs, “Through Jesus we should always bring God a sacrifice of praise, that is, words that acknowledge him” (Hebrews 13:15 GW).
When we praise God we “acknowledge” Him.
King David was incredibly blessed in so many ways, even though he committed some very nasty mess-ups (sins). So why was he still blessed and even called “a man after God’s own heart” (Acts 13:22)? The answer is found in the fact that he was a praiser. He wrote about half of the praise book of the Bible, the Psalms.

How to Practice “Praising Prayer”
Here are some suggestions you can try:
• Read and meditate on the Psalms.
• Listen to, play and sing along with worship and praise music. (Note: Praise music that doesn’t focus on God is not really praise music.)
