16. 2 Timothy 2:22
Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
This verse encourages us to not only run away from tempting desires but to pursue good.
This isn’t about just sitting put and saying no to things all day, every day. It’s about running away from those harmful desires and running into the arms of Christ.
Pursuing righteousness, faith, love, and peace are some of the best ways to resist temptation.
17. Romans 12:21
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Which is the same thing this verse emphasizes. Overcome evil with good.
Your good, godly choices make a difference. It’s one of the best ways to resist temptation.
18. 1 John 2:15-17
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

19. Ephesians 6:10-12
