Teens who skip prom because of financial and social burdens deserve prom alternatives. We can help teens make memories that are cost-effective and inclusive. Plus, alternative activities don’t have the dreaded pressures associated with prom.
I’ve hosted incredible prom alternatives. We encourage youth to come with or without a date. They can wear whatever they already have. There’s no need to spend money on new shoes or new anything.
We encourage kids to come expecting to make great memories with great people. And we promise an unforgettable night in a safe, loving environment. Our dance floor isn’t bad either! Afterward, parents and students thank us.
I’ve heard people say youth ministry just can’t compete with the world. Oh yes we can! Especially when it’s for the right reasons: to serve kids, love them, and point them to Jesus. Absolutely we can and should give students alternatives to prom and other teen events when we have the resources.
What kind of prom alternatives have you hosted?
Thanks for loving students,
