60,000 Youth Expected to Attend Passion 2013

More than 60,000 students and young adults crammed the Georgia Dome in Atlanta this week to attend the kick-off of the 2013 Passion Conference, which will last four days and will focus on uniting the “Jesus Generation” to make Him famous and to increase awareness of the fight against global slavery. In a statement, conference host Louie Giglio said, “At the heart of it all, Passion exists to see a generation stake their lives on what matters most. For us, that’s the fame of the One who rescues and restores, and the privilege we have to fully leverage our lives by amplifying His name is everything we do.”

Speakers at this year’s conference will include Beth Moore, Francis Chan, Judah Smith and Gary Haugen, with worship leadership by Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Christy Nockels, Charlie Hall, David Crowder and Lecrae, among others.

The first Passion conference was held in Austin, Texas and welcomed about 2,000 people; last year, over 42,000 students from 31 countries participated. This year’s conference will be the biggest in its history. Over 2,500 volunteers have committed to serve the event. Learn more about the conference and watch the live stream at 268generation.com.
