Eat Good Stuff

Youth workers are infamous for having all pizza diets. I tend to drift more in the direction of all chocolate diets (chocolate rice cakes for breakfast, peanut butter and nutella sandwiches for lunch, chili with brown sugar and unsweetened chocolate cooked into it for dinner…no joke, it’s what I ate yesterday). But I always feel a little cruddy when I get into these seratonin induced comas that yield extra attention deficit and general grumpiness.

I read this article today on College Candy about eating tips for a killer memory and laser focus (don’t we all need that!) and it reminded me that this year, I want to eat better. Not to lose weight or to please anyone else, but to do it because it’s good for me and it will give me life and energy in a job where we need lots of it.

How are you doing in this area? Maybe we can eat better together?
