BREATHECast reported that TLC is planning a new series in the same vein as others in the popular “Housewives” series, such as “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “Basketball Wives,” and others—but this one will feature wives of Atlanta preachers. True Entertainment, the production company behind “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” will produce the series, which will feature the women’s leadership roles in the church and will try to spotlight them with attention some would say is usually reserved for men in the religious community. Steven Weinstock, president of True Entertainment, commented that he was “thrilled to give these remarkable ladies the spotlight they crave and deserve.” The show has not yet begun production, but sources say the series might begin late this year.
“Sir, I have a very stern word for you word from God: Put your own house in order before you try and help somebody else. Sir, if you’ve got nothing good to say about South Africa, then with due respect shut up! Let’s see this country change in a day,” evangelist Angus Buchan said.
