2,000 People Show Up for Testing at Church of the Highlands

Before he stepped away from the microphone, Schranz read the first few verses of Psalm 61, which begins, “Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

Schranz observed, “Our communities are unsure right now. People are nervous, obviously.” He added, “We’re praying over especially our medical community as they do their best to serve our citizens and our communities. We’re very thankful for all of them.”

Record echoed these sentiments, saying that morning he had read Hebrews 4:12, which says, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

“Our community needs medicine,” he said, “our community needs grace and mercy.”

Despite the high level of need that remains for people to access testing, there is a lot to be thankful for. Said Record, “Last week, I could test zero. Today I tested hundreds. Thank God for that.”
