“If you are a Christian defending the ERLC expressing ‘appreciation’ for a Molechite being appointed to SCOTUS as ‘loving your neighbor’ you definitely need to get off twitter & begin reading your Bible to learn what genuine love is,” Ascol replied, comparing Jackson to worshippers of Molech, an ancient Near Eastern god who required child sacrifice.

Texas SBC pastor Dwight McKissic replied to Ascol’s assessment of Jackson, saying, “This toxic communication style, & calling this dignified, highly respected Christian woman a ‘Molechite,’ is indicative of why I’m asked, don’t you have to be GOP to be SBC?”

Ketanji Brown Jackson is set to assume her role as Supreme Court justice at the end of the current Supreme Court term this summer.
