Sweet does not, however, believe Jesus’ return will be far in the future, as in hundreds of thousands of years from now. “When that day comes and it’s reality,” he said, “obviously everyone will know that those who believed weren’t crazy, and then at that point it’ll be too late for the people that thought those people were crazy.”
Sweet said that the COVID-19 pandemic showed us that we are not invincible. “Anything can happen at any given time unexpectedly that leaves us in awe, saying, ‘Oh my gosh. I had no idea. I never even imagined that ever happening.’ And it can and will happen. It’s just a matter of time.”
Shute and Sweet also discussed cancel culture, society’s confusion over gender, and being friends with people who hold different beliefs.
