On Wednesday (June 11), Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (SBTS) President Dr. Albert Mohler Jr. prayed for former SBTS student Jennifer Lyell's family following his seminary report at the Southern Baptist Convention’s (SBC) annual meeting. 

Simone Biles apologized to Riley Gaines after Biles criticized her as “truly sick” for Gaines’ advocacy against trans athletes in women’s sports. Gaines accepted Biles’ apology, although she took issue with several of the gymnast’s comments.

On Tuesday (June 10), the resolutions committee of the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) celebrated the adoption of an “ exceptionally conservative” slate of resolutions during the annual meeting of the denomination in Dallas. 

As I wrestle with these questions about being anointed and appointed, I could not help but think of their universality in every ministry situation and the necessity to review them from time to time.

Here's the truth about security vs convenience: The more secure you are, the less convenient it is for the users. The more convenient it is for the users, the less secure your church is and more open to attack.

I encourage you to pray these prayers before you gather. As you pray these prayers before worship your heart will be more prepared to encounter God.
