Is the Church Dead? David Jeremiah Says Its Best Days Are Ahead

Dr. Ronnie Floyd, Senior Pastor of Cross Church and President of the National Day of Prayer, has three prayer priorities that he believes America should concentrate on this month.

  1. Pray for unity of thought and strategy among our nation’s leadership over the critical issues facing the country. James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”
  2. Pray that we agree clearly, unite visibly and pray extraordinarily for the next great spiritual awakening in America. Acts 1:14, “They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.”
  3. Pray for God to intervene supernaturally across America as we call on all Americans to pray for our nation. Ephesians 4:3, “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

Then, Jeremiah says, be fully engaged with God and that means in part to trust Him.

While we might not be able to discern what God is up to, David Jeremiah believes that one day we will. “You need to trust it before you see it—Scripture tells us that,” he says.

And in this day of an increasing fog falling over America, we are being given ample opportunity to demonstrate our faith.
