Some who are posting this image seem to be under the impression it depicts people praying for the impending Ukraine crisis. However, the photo appears to originate from a 2019 article by the Southern Baptist Convention’s International Mission Board about Ukrainian believers persevering in prayer for peace following their country’s 2014 conflict with Russia.
Many, including author and speaker Danielle Strickland, commented on Caine’s post, saying that they were praying. “Yes I am joining you [in] prayer,” one person responded. “Jesus is above all; believing God for protection and His hand upon them.”
