The actor also wants people to know that addiction “attacks everybody,” no matter “if you’re successful or not successful, the disease doesn’t care.”
Watching his old sitcom episodes makes him “feel sorry for that guy,” says Perry, “because that’s a guy that is out of control.” He admits being surprised by “the way that I can bounce back from all of this torture and awfulness” through resilience. “Again, I am so grateful to not be that anymore,” he says.
