Progressive Evangelical Non-Profit Uses Billboards To Persuade Faith Voters To Avoid Christian Nationalists

“We need to be the party of nationalism. And I’m a Christian, and I say it proudly: we should be Christian nationalists,” Greene told Tayler Hansen of Next News Network during Turning Point USA’s Student Action Summit earlier this year.

Greene also agreed with California pastor Rob McCoy during the interview when he said, “I think people have forgotten how great America is, and you don’t have to be ashamed. God is not a globalist. He’s a nationalist.”

Pagitt explained to Penn Live that the organization’s intentions are not to “besmirch Doug Mastriano.” Instead, they are “asking voters not to think about how good he is but to think about how good they are. Sometimes, it gets confusing about what a good thing is. We are trying to say look at his policy approach, the way he talks and treats other people. Does that seem like the way you want to be treated or to treat someone? We are encouraging voters not to give someone a pass just because he is in politics. In fact, we should be asking them to live by a higher standard.”

“We don’t see ourselves as trying to change people’s minds. We are trying to help people who feel their mind is changing to figure out what to do,” Pagitt said. “This can be seen as a healthy place of growth and development. It can be seen as positive and not just loss, confusion, and anger.”

The non-profit has also placed similar billboards in Ohio and Michigan.
