Although he’s passing the torch of his conference ministry, Jakes says he will remain a senior pastor of his flagship Potter’s House church in Dallas. In recent years, he has emphasized his focus on real-estate ventures, working to expand affordable-housing options and business opportunities in cities such as Atlanta. Jakes also recently announced a two-year deal to stream sermons and faith-based interviews on Amazon Freevee, starting this December.
At his final WTAL conference, Jakes took to the stage to encourage the 20,000 attendees, stating that their dreams are within reach. He emphasized that he expects them to “do exploits” and “be overcomers.” “It’s been a great run,” Jakes said. “I’m so happy to celebrate the grand finale with you.”
