According to the Christian Post, Crystal Cathedral founder Robert Schuller has commended his daughter, Sheila Schuller Coleman, for starting a new church, but Schuller and his wife will not attend it. Coleman, who previously held the senior pastor position at the iconic Garden Grove megachurch, announced over the weekend that she would be leaving to plant her own church in the area. But Schuller and his wife told the Los Angeles Times that the place where they will worship is currently “up in the air.”
The Crystal Cathedral sold its property to the Catholic Church last month and is currently engaged in increasing difficulties as the board is nearly dissolved, ministries and services are reduced and donations are plummeting.
