According to The Christian Post, a 16-year-old volunteer at a Christian camp in Pennsylvania has been arrested for arson after a fire ripped through the facility earlier this month. Police believe the teen used hay from the grounds to start the fire at Miracle Mountains Ranch in Spring Creek. The fire destroyed several buildings and thousands of dollars of hay and also killed dozens of animals, including goats, pigs, sheep, cats and birds.
The camp’s executive director, Matt Cox, said 175 campers had just left the facility and called the event “a terrific loss.” But Cox also said the local community has really stepped up to contribute help, supplies and money to rebuild the camp. “People pledging money, people pledging services. It’s just, I can’t even tell you what a blessing that, it has just touched us and has just been amazing, overwhelming,” he said.
